ATREYU: New Album Will Be Our Biggest, Most Epic Record To Date
April 12, 2007ATREYU has issued the following update:
"For the last few months we've been home working on songs for the new record. We ended up writing about 25, all of which we are really psyched on. We've been working with John Feldman on this record, and we couldn't be happier. In fact, we've been in the studio for about a month and things are coming out really awesome. This album is definitely on its way to being the biggest, most epic record to date for us. We're counting down the days till we can play them for you.
"On that note, we have been confirmed for the Family Values tour this summer. We'll be playing along side KORN, EVANESCENCE, FLYLEAF, HELLYEAH, and TRIVIUM. We're really excited to be a part of such a big and amazing tour. There are going to be so many great bands that we'll be sharing the stage with, we're ecstatic. We can't wait to get back out on the road and play shows for y'all again.
"On a third note, we have a few live videos that will be available online in the near future. One is a video for 'Untitled Finale' that we shot on our World Championship tour (which we thank everyone again for making it our best headliner yet),and the other is an older video that we found of our cover of BON JOVI's 'You Give Love A Bad Name'. This video is compiled from footage form Warped Tour two years ago. It is a great live video that we thought was lost, but hey, we found it!"
ATREYU's "best of" collection, aptly titled "The Best Of...", was released on January 23 via Victory Records. The group recently parted ways with Victory and inked a new deal with the Hollywood label.
ATREYU's third album, "A Death-Grip On Yesterday", came out in March 2006. The CD follows up the group's 2002 release, "The Curse".
